Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) organized the ‘BASIS National ICT Award‘ to recognize the potential and innovative projects of the country. The award for the first time was handed over to the winners in a ceremony held on October 10 in the capital. BASIS National ICT Award, 2017, wins 42 projects. Of these, 16 projects are champions in separate categories. Organizers said the best projects will be nominated for the International APICTA Award. It is to be noted that APICTA Award will be held in Dhaka in December. For this award 365 applications were submitted in 17 divisions. Then the winners were finalized through various scrutiny. Bino, Champion, Startup Division
MicroTech Interactive’s ‘Bino’ Augmented Reality Technology App Through 3D animated examples, kids can learn alphabets. The app has been created for the children so that they can study happily, said the company’s chief executive officer Masnun Kibria.
He said, “Children’s interest in technology is increasing day by day. So they created the app. “They want to bring the entire primary education system under such technology. This is the initiative of United International University’s AIMS Lab. Autism is a mobile-based interactive and community-based screening tool that is used for autism diagnosis and monitoring. Parents, doctors and health-trained officers can use the app to know about autism screening and the following things. If an app shows the possibility of a child being autism, it will be automatically reported to the nearest autism center. As well as the guardian will be informed about the next task. Apart from this, the app will also monitor those children regularly.

Bioscope, Champion, Media and Entertainment Technology Division
