    How To Refresh Your Bath Towels ? This process will strip the residue that has built up and cause them to be fresh and practically new again. #refresh #bathtowels

    I am so glad that I found this house hold tip on pinterest.  After a while, towels start to have a build up of softeners & laundry soap. This causes them to no longer absorb like they did when you first purchased them. You may even start noticing an odor that is not so pleasant after a while, too.

    How can you refresh them once this happens? Simple solution to follow….

    Run them through a wash cycle with only hot water & 1 cup of white vinegar. Do not add soaps!

    Then run them through again. This time using hot water and 1/2 cup baking soda. Again, do not use soaps!

    Repeat procedure as needed.

  • Getting Started with Docker

    Getting Started with Docker

    Loading

    This is the first post on DevOps tools that I will be talking about. I will be explaining how to use automation tools to deploy scaling, contain applications, build alternatives, and perform data analytics of logs and develop enterprise cost-effective automation tools.

    Let’s begin with DOCKER.

    If you are using CentOS, follow the instructions below:

    [root@tito ~]# cd /etc/yum.repos.d
    [root@tito yum.repos.d]# vi docker.repo

    Add the below inside the newly created docker.repo.

    [dockerrepo]
    name=Docker Repository
    baseurl=https://yum.dockerproject.org/repo/main/centos/7/
    enabled=1
    gpgcheck=1
    gpgkey=https://yum.dockerproject.org/gpg

    Next, run an update.

    [root@tito ~]# yum update

    Once updated, proceed to install the docker-engine.

    [root@tito ~]# yum install -y docker-engine

    Proceed with enabling systemctl, which will create a link to start up Docker, to start up Docker upon reboot.

    [root@tbola451 yum.repos.d]# systemctl enable docker
    Created symlink from /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/docker.service to /usr/lib/systemd/system/docker.service

    Now, let’s proceed to run Docker as a daemon service.

    [root@tito ~]# systemctl start docker

    YAY BINGO!!! Your Docker is running. 💯

    Verify by checking your Docker version.

    [root@tbola451 ~]# docker --version
    Docker version 17.05.0-ce, build 89658be

    Your Docker is up and running. You can view your Docker images, which are empty for now because your Docker is newly installed.

    Below is what mine looks like, I don’t have any images yet 😦

    [root@tbola451 ~]# docker images
    REPOSITORY TAG IMAGE ID CREATED SIZE

    Hmmm, notice how I am using root user? That’s not cool in terms of security. Therefore, I will back out/exit root and become a regular user (the user assigned for Docker).

    [root@tbola451 ~]# exit
    logout
    [user@tbola451 ~]$ docker images
    Got permission denied while trying to connect to the Docker daemon socket at unix:///var/run/docker.sock: Get http://%2Fvar%2Frun%2Fdocker.sock/v1.29/images/json: dial unix /var/run/docker.sock: connect: permission denied

    Oops, now you can see that you can’t connect to the Docker daemon when you tried to run the commanddocker images.

    What you need to do is become the root user again.

    Yeah, I know that I said to exit root before, but believe me, you really need to become root this time because we will be doing some file ownership modification. Sounds cool, right? 👍

    [user@tbola451 ~]$ su -
    Password:
    [root@tbola451 ~]# cd /var/run/
    [root@tbola451 run]# ls -la dock*
    [root@tbola451 run]# ls -la dock*
    -rw-r--r--. 1 root root     4 Aug 30 01:50 docker.pid
    srw-rw----. 1 root docker  0 Aug 30 01:50 docker.sock

    docker:
    total 0
    drwx------.  6 root root 120 Aug 30 01:50 .
    drwxr-xr-x. 28 root root 900 Aug 30 01:50 ..
    drwx------.  3 root root 100 Aug 30 01:50 libcontainerd
    drw-------.  2 root root  60 Aug 30 01:50 libnetwork
    drwx------.  2 root root  40 Aug 30 01:50 plugins
    drwx------.  2 root root  40 Aug 30 01:50 swarm

    We need to be able to connect to this sock file.srw-rw----. 1 root docker 0 Aug 30 01:50 docker.sock But, it seems like it’s owned by the root and docker group, so only root can use/connect to it (root created it, so selfish of root).

    Let’s add a user to the Docker group, my username is.user

    [root@tbola451 run]# cat /etc/group |grep docker
    docker:x:988:
    [root@tbola451 run]# usermod -a -G docker user
    [root@tbola451 run]# cat /etc/group |grep docker
    docker:x:988:user

    Nice! It seems like we fixed that pretty nicely. Exit and log in as yourUser. Mine is user and confirm. Below is my output.

    [user@tbola451 ~]$ docker images
    REPOSITORY TAG IMAGE ID CREATED SIZE
    [user@tbola451 ~]$
    [here]()

    Skipped the above? Follow the below instructions for quick Docker installation.

    [root@tbola451 ~]# cd /etc/yum.repos.d
    [root@tbola451 yum.repos.d]# vi docker.repo
    *****Add the below inside the newly created docker.repo****
    [dockerrepo]
    name=Docker Repository
    baseurl=https://yum.dockerproject.org/repo/main/centos/7/
    enabled=1
    gpgcheck=1
    gpgkey=https://yum.dockerproject.org/gpg
    *********************************************
    [root@tbola451 yum.repos.d]# yum update
    [root@tbola451 yum.repos.d]#yum install -y docker-engine
    [root@tbola451 yum.repos.d]# systemctl enable docker
    [root@tbola451 yum.repos.d]# systemctl start docker
    [root@tbola451 ~]# docker --version
    [root@tbola451 ~]# docker images

    YAY BINGO!!! Your Docker is running. 💯

    New Roboestaurant’ to be equipped with touchscreens by Shake Shack to replace counter staff
    The popular burger chain Shake Shack will have something new to show soon. it will launch a new outlet soon in the East Village in Astor Place where the robots will replace humans and handle all the orders and cash. The ordering and delivery process will take place through an app. The customers will place an order through the touchscreen kiosks or the app inside the restaurant.
    The restaurant’s app could also be used to pay through the tablets and Smartphones. The CEO Garutti stated that the Astor Place shack will be a testing ground where the company would be able to assess the changing needs of the customers. He looks forward to make dining an exciting experience through innovation to provide the best services for their guests.
    Another interesting aspect that will be seen is that buzzers at the outlet will be replaced by text messages. This will help to alert diners about the food when it gets ready. The new notification model will provide ample time to the customers to roam freely outside the restaurant while they would be waiting for the shakes, fries and the burgers.
    The restaurant staff will be paid a minimum of 15 dollars per hour to draw the best workers in the city. The chain also intends to provide innovative packaging and high-speed delivery in the future too. An optimized kitchen in the new outlet will increase the capacity to take many mobile orders. The design of the new Shake Shack outlet will feature the dining rooms and waiting areas similar to the existing branches in New York.

    How To Make Your Trampoline Safe

    How to make your trampoline safe with some pool noodles. They add padding to your springs, kids think it’s fun, and they help protect the springs from the elements as well.

    Is your kids trampoline safe, and the uncovered springs are an accident just waiting to happen, why not fix both problems at once with some cheap pool noodles. Simply cut sections a little longer than the springs, then push the them through the holes in the centers so they make a nice snug fit.

    Hook the ends of the springs back onto the tramp, and repeat the process with the others. If you alternate the colors, you’ll end up with a custom pattern that will give a new life to your old tramp.

    Stainless steel appliances look great in the kitchen, but they’re prone to showing hard water marks and fingerprints.

    For regular, daily cleaning, simply use water and soap (or dish detergent) along with a microfiber cloth. Be sure to dry the area — with a second cloth — after wiping to avoid water spots and the minor corrosive effects of the minerals in the water.

    Between the soap-and-water combo and the vinegar-and-oil wipes, you don’t really need much more than that.

    How To Get Rid Of Flies In Your House Naturally - FILE

    It’s that time of year and I am so fed up with these irritating flies all over my house, its time to get rid of them.  They not only irritate me when they are buzzing around and land on me, but also because they are the carriers of disease causing bacteria. Did you know that a single house fly can carry about a million bacteria on their tiny body hair called tarsi!

    They get these bacteria from all the contaminated places where they go and sit such as fecal matter, garbage disposal sites, rotten foods etc. They won’t and don’t need to bite you to transmit these bacteria to your body. They will just sit on the open foods that lie on your kitchen counter or on the dining table and leave the bacteria in these foods.

    When you eat these food, your body gets all the nasty bacteria to make you ill with such diseases as dysentery, typhoid, diarrhea, and cholera. Here is just one natural way to keep flies out of your house.
