Former Indian High Commissioner Pinak Ranjan Chakraborty said that India should continue to support Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. But it is not bypassing former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia. He said this in an analytical article written on Indian influential daily Hindustan Times.

Former diplomat Pinak Ranjan Chakraborty writes, “On 8 February, the country’s former prime minister Khaleda Zia was sentenced to a special court in a corruption case. In this case, his son Tarique Rahman and four others were sentenced. Tarek is now in charge of the acting chairman of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). BNP allegation, a corruption case against Khaleda Zia, a political conspiracy led by the current Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
